30-Plus-Year History
Sussex IM was established in January
2010, but our history goes back more
than three decades. We trace our
roots to Sussex Plastics Inc., formed in
1977 in Sussex, Wis. by a Hungarian
immigrant. Later, as part of a major
global manufacturer, we adopted the
latest automation technology and lean
manufacturing practices and created an
industry-leading Innovation Center. That set the stage for management to purchase
the company and reopen it as Sussex IM.
Custom Injection Molding
We provide custom injection molding
solutions to customers in a wide variety
of industries, from consumer products to
industrial, residential construction, home
and garden, and medical.
With 65 presses and experience working
with more than 100 engineering-grade
resins, we offer a complete array of
services, including:
• In-mold assembly;
• Proprietary flow molding for metal replacement;
• Complex part design;
• Molding and assembly of multiple
components. |
Our domestic and offshore tool
manufacturing facilities can produce
molds from Class 105 to Class 100,
allowing us to meet customers’ needs
for everything from prototypes to runs
of millions of pieces.
Post-Molding Value-Added Services
A variety of post-molding value-added
services allow us to take your product
right to your customer’s shelves.
They include:
• In-cycle (manual or automated)
high-complexity assembly;
• Extensive secondary operations;
• Decoration, including painting,
metalizing, hot stamping, pad printing,
heat-transfer labeling, pressuresensitive
labeling and laser engraving;
• Packaging and shipping of product to
your warehouse or your customer’s
