Decoration Capabilities

Our Decoration Capabilities Bring Your Plastic Parts to Life

Sussex IM has extensive experience with various decoration techniques in plastic injection molding. Given our 40 years of experience in the cosmetics market, we have the ability to decorate on a variety of plastic substrates with the pristine quality our customers expect.

Through pad printing, In-Mold Decorating (IML/IMD), Hot Stamping, and Heat Transfer Processes we can ensure we achieve the decoration requirements suited for your application. When choosing the best printing process, considerations must be made regarding the substrate, part design, the look of the finished product, and testing requirements. The material of the part will determine the best process to use and whether a surface treatment is required (i.e. Corona, Flame, or Chemical Treatment)

Pad Printing

Pad printing is the process of transferring a wet 2-D image from a cliché via a silicone pad onto a 3-D object. This technique is ideal for sampling purposes and smaller quantities.

Hot Stamping

Hot Stamping is a decorating process that uses heated dies to transfer metal foils onto a surface. This can be done through either vertical or roll-on hot stamping.

Heat Transfer

Heat Transferring is a process by which a heat transfer graphic is transferred using heat and pressure directly onto a molded plastic substrate.
