What is your title?
Business development / Account manager
How long have you worked at Sussex IM?
I have been at Sussex for 15 years.
What does your job entail?
Responsible for account management for GOJO/Purell, SC Johnson, Mary Kay, Hellermann Tyton, CFS Brands, ASEPT. Also responsible for new business development, prospecting, lead generating and working with marketing to land new accounts.
What do you like most about your job?
In sales you need to have an entrepreneurial mindset. I like the challenge, the chase of prospecting, finding and landing new business and growing that business to further push Sussex IM forward.
Highlight of a project you’ve worked on this year.
2020 was very challenging with COVID-19. I think the biggest highlight was how we stepped up and handled the GOJO/Purell surge of dispenser production. We also tripled our capacity on the ES6/8 and CS6/8 Dispenser platforms, while also taking over the entire CS4 program from another molder in late 2020.
In 2021 we were able to sign an agreement with CFS Brands on a new Food Pans program, as well as launch the new Chick Fil-A Table Marker program. CFS has many products that will fit well with SIM, and it will be fun to work with CFS and grow the business in 2022.
Favorite part of working at Sussex IM?
Without a doubt, the people. At every level the people here are great to work with. Leadership has a true open-door policy, and I think that is very important in a company like SIM. We find a way to just get stuff done!
