Kopp’s professional focus has always been plastics. He was most recently Engineering Manager for Gateway Plastics, the high-volume manufacturer of rigid plastics for food packaging. Previously, he was Project Engineer – Trade Sales and, later, Program Manager, for Rexam – Sussex, where he specialized in personal care packaging and directly managed manufacturing for key suppliers. Earlier, Kopp was Mechanical Design Engineer for Tooling Technologies, Inc., manufacturer of injection molds for a diverse customer base.
In his new position, Kopp will report to Keith Everson, Sussex IM CEO. “Kyle’s exceptional experience in manufacturing will be invaluable as we continue to grow,” Everson said. “He started his career designing injection molds, which gives him a great foundation in plastics. And, he is a proven manager of people, product development, R&D, sourcing of equipment and continuous improvement. This is the skill set needed to ensure customer satisfaction as we take our business to the next level.”
Kopp is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, with a B.S. degree in Engineering Technology. A Six Sigma Green Belt, Kopp resides in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
